The evil of restlessness
Im finishing a compendium of several books from Seneca, with On the tranquility of the mind amongst them. I paraphrase here:
Take also into account those with a difficult sleep, they turn over and over, modifying their posture until with their fatigue they find rest. Constantly changing their lifestyle, they stay in the one where they're surprised not by their aversion to change, but the exhaustion of age, reluctant of changes.
If you've read any previous posts of me you've seen I am a big sinner that commits this sin very often. Lack of purpose and commitment to a path turns into lack of depth which turns into frustration. A road to virtue is to do one thing at a time, and commit to it to the best of your ability.
I myself I'm trying to juggle between writing, starting a side-project involving heavy coding and a certification that involves ~150 hours of study, all that while in my mid-thirties. Come on man who're you trying to convince?
Stay with the wisdom Ron swanson keeps bestowing upon us 👨🏽.
